At Cheqit we are driving the future of ordering and payments in the hospitality sector.
We are growing our client base quickly and are looking for passionate and experienced backend engineers to join our team and journey in Armenia, where we will be launching the product soon!
About the Role
What are we looking for?
It is not mandatory, but if you have prior experience working on software related to payments, restaurants, or Point of Sale (POS) systems this will be of great interest to us. If you have notable experience in high performance, high availability, distributed architecture, we would love to hear from you!
We are looking for driven individuals who have entrepreneurial qualities, innovative mindsets, and enjoy tackling new challenges. We’re looking for candidates with excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communications skills. You need to have strict attention to detail, be a quick learner, and demonstrate a keen interest in restaurant-tech and financial technology.
Requirements
What you will do:
Build a product that transforms the hospitality sector and the way people dine
Work in a fast-paced learning environment where you will be able to grow professionally and as an individual
Participation in architecture design - Design and implement scalable and high-performing solutions
Integrations with third-party services - including POS systems and payment gateways
Solve complex problems, perform analysis and development of technical solutions, and approval of business requirements
Writing and performing tests
Key technical skills & requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of relevant work experience using modern programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
Experience working in an agile and cross-functional team
Strong knowledge of PHP
Laravel
RabbitMQ / Kafka / nats etc queues
PostgreSQL
Strong communication and time management skills
Team player and open-minded
Strong attention to detail
Working proficiency in English
Fluency in Armenian
It will be a plus:
Any relevant work experience / CI / CD implementation
